Translation vs. Interpretation

To the layman, interpretation and translation may seem to be two words for the same process. Moreover, some terms, such as simultaneous translation or synchronous interpretation, have made their way into the vernacular, despite being not entirely correct.

While translators take a written text and transfer it from one language to another, interpreters convey the spoken word. As dolmenschen, our true calling lies with interpretation; however, we do offer written translations on a case-by-case basis. Please do not hesitate to get in touch.
